NOVA SKIPP  (Julie)

Nova trained at the Arts Educational Schools, London. On leaving, she was part of the original company in the national tour of Aspects of Love. West End and national touring productions of Oklahoma!; Phantom of the Opera, Salad Days, and Annie followed.

Nova has appeared in rep at York Theatre Royal in Kes The Musical; Sheffield Crucible Theatre in The Sound of Music; the Yeovil Octagon Theatre in Carousel (Carrie), Oklahoma! (Ado Annie), Bedroom Farce (Jan) and The Rise & Fall of Little Voice (Little Voice). She also travelled to Perth Theatre, Scotland, to play Julie Jordan in Carousel.

Nova has always enjoyed diversity in her work, ranging from a season with the New Shakespeare Company at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, to a year spent in Germany playing Jellylorum in Cats.

Throughout her career, Nova has performed in cabaret and concerts all over the UK, including a season with A Night at the Musicals for Sweet Music Productions.

Recent work includes a summer in the Isle of Man, taking on the dual challenge of playing Sandy in Grease and Janet in The Rocky Horror Show. Last year, she understudied the part of Anna in the national Tour of The King & I , a role she played on many occasions.

JODY CROSIER  (The men in Julie’s life)

Jody was born in Hull and graduated from the Guildford School of Acting with the Principal’s Award. His West End work includes: Anton in Napoleon, Chris in Miss Saigon, understudy for both Martin and Guillaume in Martin Guerre and Marius in Les Miserables.

Other credits include: Frederick in The Pirates of Penzance (Olympia Theatre, Dublin), Johnnie Tempest in Charlie Sexboots (Man in the Moon Theatre), Jazz in Adrenalin (Drill Hall), Prince Philip in The Lion in Winter (Spring Street Theatre, Hull), Nicklas in Professor Utopia (London Palladium), Stephen in Snakes and Ladders (Greenwich Theatre), Slim in Oklahoma! (national tour) and Man One in Closer than Ever (Greenbelt Festival). Jody also created the role of Kevin in the Lloyds Bank Theatre Challenge winner Love Kevin (Royal National Theatre). He has recently appeared as Rapunzel’s Prince in Into the Woods at Derby Playhouse. Television credits include: Def II (BBC), The Pat Kenny Show (RTE) and Conception (ITV).

   

PAUL CREW  (Accompanist & Musical Director)

Paul studied oboe and piano at the Royal Academy of Music. After working as a classical oboist for some time he moved over to the lighter side of music. This led to U.K. and international tours backing artists such as Shirley Bassey, Jack Jones, Gloria Gaynor and Michael Ball to name but a few. Other work includes coaching and musical direction in productions at various musical theatre colleges and working on different West End shows, including a long run at the New London Theatre in Joseph.
